Not dropping 30 grand on a rifle. Lol

That's ridiculous. I hope sig wins. I'm no fan of their long guns but they shouldn't be subject to rank stupidity.

I second the notion the 9mm AR is blowback. My High Standard 9mm AR is a hoot. Mags are cheap and plentiful. Even the plastic promags work very well.

You gotta admit an integrally suppressed sub gun for 2k is awfully attractive. Haven't seen anything quite like it in a long time.

There are some real issues with integral suppression.

Mainly greatly reduced velocity which on a gas gun can be isues.

While screw on suppressors increase backpressure and do not lose velocity the bleed off of gasses from integral suppression is a negative in most applications

Mpx isnt a gas gun though. And without the sleeve is the normal operation. Adding the suppressor sleeve would only increase the pressure.

But the sig mpx is a gas gun uses a short stroke piston system...

Quote:
The SIG MPX employs the SIG SAUER® battle-proven gas-operated short stroke piston system for unequaled reliability in the field, even under the most adverse conditions.
Its their modified ar15 piston gun designed for pistol ammo.

If its got holes in the barrel to bleed gas for integral suppression its going to lose velocity regardless of sleeve presence. I would like to see good close up pics of the exposed barrel.
