Defaulthi point 9mm optics question

Hey i just bought a new hi point 995 and shot a hundred rounds through it and love it. I was looking for a red dot sight that i could mount forward of the rear sight so i could still use the iron sights. but now i'm starting to think about some kind of magnifying scope. is there a way to mount a scope/sight above the rear sight? i'm not really looking for something high end either just to plink at the range. thank you in advance for any suggestions.

welcome to the forums. stop by the intro section tell us a bit about yourself

there are high rise mounts that will get you above the iron sights but i dont think there are any see through designed specifically for the 955. the ones below MIGHT work and let you use the existing irons

Millett See Thru Mounts. SE00008, SE00001, SE00030, SE00007, SE00006. Millett Riflescope Mounts, Rings & Bases.

I bought a cheap reflex type sight from sportsman's guide. I think it is the sightmark, not that sure. I took the iron sights off of mine. There didn't seem to be an easy way to co witness the iron sights with the optic.
I can hit clay pigeons at 50 yards off hand. Not impossible shot thrown in the air, but on the ground. I got mine just for fun, works fine the way it is.
