Default Hearing the Ping

I bought a Garand a few months ago, but haven't had anywhere to shoot it. None of the local indoor ranges allow surplus ammo and the outdoor ranges want membership money. So I finally found a place out in the desert to give it a try. Video here.

I love my Garand but haven't been able to get enough use out of it, been so busy latley.

Just a friendly word of advice, you may want to practice the correct way to load. It was a little hard to tell from the video but you may be inviting a case of M1 Thumb if I saw correctly.

I love my Garand as well but some times I get a double ping. The enblock clip will eject straight up and bounce off my dome. Great video, you can really see the power of the 30-06 in the shockwave it creates on the dirt road. My loading technique, I hold the rifle in my right hand loop index finger over op rod handle and load with left hand.
