for longer ranges, there is a .338 Lapua Mag bolt gun, in a McMillan A4 stock, with Krieger barrel, Jewell trigger, and Schmidt & Bender glass to back them up.
Wish these Lapua mags werent so much money. I was eyeballing a 338 Lapua mag takedown at anzio iron works, only a cool 4000 to start. Love the round though.

DefaultGet yourself a 6.8

Get the 6.8 in the AR-style rifle. I have a Stag left handed and I love it I own other rifles also Springfield M1A Standard and SOCOM II. But when I bought my Stag 6.8 I fell in love with it 80% stopping power of the 308 and the weight off the .223 when it comes to ammo. But most of all I love is that when you shoot it's like total love smooth fine and better then sex with my girlfriend at times.

I would also recommend the Cetme. When i was researching the Cetme I heard all the different horror stories about them but purchased it anyway. I have put about 5k rds through it and love it. Mag's can be found for $2-3. My 13 yr old son shot it an loved they it felt. He compared the recoil to my M4.
