An auto loader is way too much money for her... I'm trading in 2 guns to stay even at about 350 bucks. I figure a good recoil pad, shooting vest and 20ga lite loads should be fine for her.

A remmington 870 will fit your budget, very common platform and I picked up a combo ( with bird barrel and rifled barrel) for about 350.

I gotta say I held the rem 1187 autoloader yesterday and it was light and easily maneuverable. Only problem is its 750 bucks... They guy at the store talked me out of buying the new 870 before I take my gf out east to the trap range and take a lesson with her and rent some 20ga Gus to see what she likes..

If you ask me that's what I like in a gun store. Could care less about a sale as much as they want to see you happy, not waste your money and get a gun that is perfect for you. A++++

Looks like I'll wait a bit and go shooting first.

My wife wanted to cheap for a shotgun for her. She tried Brownings, Remington, Mossy's, ect. She finally got a Benelli Ultra-Lite and she loves it.

So I went out to the trap range and got my gf and myself a lesson.. Let's just say she not only surprised me but the instructor was amazed... She missed her first shot then hit 5 back to back.. All in all she got about 25 out of 35 shots... She rented a beretta 391 semi 20ga.. The instructor told me about the beretta 3901 and that it's only 599 bucks.. I'm gunna look around for this by me but does anyone know the pros and cons of this gun?

Ohh so I found a youth 20ga rem 11-87 at dicks sporting goods for 650 and they have a sale for 30 bucks off.. For 620 I'm thinking just staying with the rem and not hunt down the beretta.

Which would be better on a recoil/weight stand point? The one thing that I don't like about the beretta is its only a 2+1 shot.. The rem is 4+1..
