I do not have one. Have never even held one but from what I have read and viewed about it, it makes bumping safer (correct me if I'm wrong). So why would they out law a safety device? People are just going to keep bumping anyway.
I agree, it's much safer, but they see it as a device that is used as a "fully auto" stock.. I'm 100% in with you as its safe and legal, but you and I both know that the liberals will turn a good thing into a harmful thing..
I thought you had to be disabled in some way per the paper work giving you the ability to manipulate you your weapon the same way for as a non impaired person for recreational shooting which I admit sounds silly, i could be totally wrong
Well I just bought one and yes, have the letter from the ATF, but just wanted some experts opinions.. So I hope they keep it legal, it's very fun to shoot..
atf letters are worth less than the paper its printed on.
if you have spent any time at all trying to get answers out of the atf on whats legal whats not you will quickly discover if you ask any 3 atf agents the same question you will get 15 different answers. the atf is infamous for issuing opinion letters like the slide fire letter than arresting people for doing what the letter said was ok.
personally i tr and stay away from grey area things involving nfa or nfa simulating devices.
my opinion is if you want a slidefire buy it for cash...
