Make sure you get a 6 position tube. My suggestion is get your buffer and spring with it as an assembly if possible (unless you are going to use it on a .22LR). You want them to match.

You probably could, but I beleive in a matching set. Pretty much the same concept as getting a 74 pontiac starter for your 72 Impala. You can shim it and make it work, but if you get a Chevy starter to start with, it will last longer, and take less battery power to turn it over because everything matches up. You will be able to hear the difference.

Yes you can. $20 at www.midwayusa.com had to swap out the commercial tube on my friends bushy to make it work. Commercial tube was too tight of a fit and stock wouldnt slide on it. Swapped out for a milspec tube and back in business.

Ok; so you are saying the Bushmaster tube was too tight? The reason I ask is I have a Bushmaster tube on my carbine, and I am wondering if I buy a slide fire in the future if that is what I need to change.
