Default DPMS LR308: older-version vs. newer-version
I will buy a DPMS LR308 classic rifle.

Should I buy their newest-version chambered for 7.62 NATO (and DPMS states that 308 ammo can be used too)?

- or -

Should I buy their 6-year-older-version (but still new-in-box) (chambered for 308 and cannot use 7.62 NATO DPMS states)?


I have a chance to buy one or the other; which one should I get?

Go with the newer one.Gives you more options when buying ammo.You will like the rifle.Try to get the one with a JP trigger upgrade.The stock triggers are just military type triggers and are rough.
