Default dpms ar10?

I had a trade come up for a dpms ar10, is this a good ar10 to go with? How does it handle, hows the accuracy, how does it rate to other ar10 in similar value? I value your opinions so please let me know what yall think. It looks to be fairly new in good shape and comes with two mags. I would be trading my ptr91 paratrooper.

The DPMS 308 rifles generally get good reviews. They will accept original AR 10 pattern mags (unlike the current Armalite AR10 that uses modified m14 mags). MagPul mags are compatible with these.

I may be biased, I have a long term project, being built on a CMMG lower that takes the DPMS type .308 uppers and AR10 mags. But mine will have custom upper/barrel and parts.

Is tis one a 20", 24", or 16" barreled gun?

The .308 ARs are much more pleasant to shoot than the delayed roller block guns and have a bit more easily accessible accuracy potential. I think you'll be happy going with an AR type wether you go with this one or a different one down the road.

A 16". A friend uses one if those for his hog and deer gun back in GA. Good shooter, kinda heavy but not horrible for swampy woods. Box stock gun just like the one pictures but with a 1-4x scope.

My favorite is a 20 or custom 22" made for precision. One friend has a sweet 22" that has a Krieger match barrel and Geiselle trigger that shoots insane tight groups. Built on a DPMS lower and upper.
