So i just picked up a brand new ddm4v7, threw on some mbus front and rear flips and a single point sling mount. Aim point t1 coming soon. Anyone have any recommendations for this rifle. Maybe and issues or problems with the handguard getting too hot?

I do think it might get warm, but not so that you could not keep shooting. I have a similar for end on my RRA from YHM and have not had an issue. Then again I haven't done several mag dumps either.

I actually ended up in the same boat this weekend with my rail getting hot as hell after doing rapid fire off and on, kind of expected it though (only ran about 500 +/-). So yes, unless they've changed something in their rifles since I got mine a few years back, expect the hand guard/rail to get a bit toasty if you're doing to be doing a lot of shooting at one time. Going to be most definitely investing in some rail covers after the wedding in a couple weeks.
