Default CETME Front Sight Assembly

Some abuse from previous owner, and I have to replace front sight assembly. I do not have much experience with the CETME. Any instructions on how to do it properly?

Go to the CETME experts over at Militaryfirearm. They have numerous tutorials under battle rifles that will help. Is your canted or truly damaged? Canted front sight triple frames are fairly common.

I cannot adjust the fron sight. The set screw is turning in the hole. I can drill it out, and put in another set screw, but the sight post has also been "glued" in place. The sight assembly looks to have been painted after it was originally put on. I have a extra sight assembly I can install. I was wondering if I 1)removed the screw that is on the exterior, the 2) gently work it forward, if it would come off easy, or is there something holding the sight other that the one screw.
