Cannot Find It Anywhere!
I've searched and searched but still cannot find any gun shop online
that sells the Kel-Tec Sub 2000 9mm carbine rifle. Every one of them says
'out of stock.' I am wondering: Did Kel-Tec stop making them? Any
one know the story with this product?

Davidson's says these are "allocated".

What is an allocated item?

An allocated item is one in which the demand far exceeds the supply. This means Davidsonís/ will sell all of this product in less than one week, and many times in only a matter of hours.

Why allocate items?

If these items were open to sale to any retailer on a first come, first serve basis, two significant problems arise. First, a single or a small number of retailers may elect to buy the entire quantity, thus creating an immediate out-of-stock situation and a failure to ďshare the wealthĒ among our retailer base. Second, a more problematic situation is created when a retailer who is not supporting Davidsonís/ with his other business, is able to buy these hard-to-get items, leaving none for our customers that do support us and depend on us for a large portion of their firearms.

How are the items allocated?

It is Davidsonís/ goal to offer allocated items to the retailers that are supporting our company with purchases of non-allocated products. In order to accomplish this, Davidsonís/ first allocates "hard-to-get" items to our salesmen based on the percentage of Davidsonís/ sales they represent (EXAMPLE: If 100 of an item came in, a salesman doing 5% of Davidsonís total sales would receive 5 of this item to sell to his retailers.) Based upon the salesmanís evaluation (somewhat subjective) of the customerís purchasing history, the salesmen then choose which retailers to offer the allocated items to.

How can I get an item that is allocated?

It is recommended that you first locate a retailer from our "Retailer Near You" section in our Gun Gallery (or simply enter your zip code where prompted on our home page). You will need to contact one of these retailers and inquire if they have one of these items in stock. If they do not have one of these firearms available ask them to contact Davidson's/ and place this item on their "wants list". Most retailers will require a deposit for the firearm and your wait may be anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. In some cases the wait may extend over a year.

Hey Pan, if you find one I highly recommend getting it. Its very easy to clean and shoots great! But I also recommend getting the 3 add ons from
The recoil buffer, padded cheek rest, and charging handle cover. Which one are you looking to get glock 9mm, S&W .40, berretta 92, or sig?

IIRC, Pan, Kel-Tec was also very slow producing their PMR 30 -the now famous

30 round .22WMR auto when it first came out. Patience may be key, as

the novelty wears off, so will the hammering by the allocation-abusers.

Meanwhile, Hi-Point has a similar 9mm "prifle", the 995, have you seen it?
