Ok so let me ask you guys one more thing that may change everything.....I don't currently have the tools to do this job, are they pricey? If so maybe just buying one is best for myself.

building and upper is usually the only part that requires any special tools. the lower can usually be done with most common tools that most people have.

check out some of the YouTube videos or some of the ones by Brownell's on building an upper and a lower to get an diea as to what you need to build.

If I were you I would just buy one and later on down the road you can build one after you become familiar with the platform and decide exactly what you want.

Smith and Wesson make a couple varieties if AR. They have a "Sport" model that does not have a ejection port door or a forward assist. May also use different spec barrels. That is usually their cheap model. They still get very good reviews.

Yeah I knew tht on the sport my confusion was from there it all seems about options.....why does everyone want a Bushmaster or so on instead? Maybe I'm just a bigger S&W fan idk.
