Default best .45 carbine?

I'm looking for a well-made reliable home defence weapon in .45, I'm gonna start reloading as soon as I can and would like to keep it simple w one round. I edc a SA XDs and gonna use a 4"-5" 1911 as my bedside weapon, the carbine will be my ****-hits-the-fan weapon.

Just get a Uberti version of a 92 Winchester lever action in .45 Colt.

Do you have a range report or video firing the Vector?

Sure do , no video but I will tell you this , I hear about alot of manual extraction problems . Yes if you pu55y foot around it will drop the round back on the top of the mag , pull it like you mean it and it will spit the round out .
Very very accurate , The recoil feels funny because of the way the bolt travels , it goes back about 1" then turns and goes down about 1" which gives the perception that the gun is actually pulling down and that makes it very easy to stay on target . It uses Glock G21 mags which are available in what they call a 25+ which will hold 30 but I only load 27-28 rds in mine . Mags drop very freely , the safety is kinda in a janked up place it either needs to be just a tad forward of a short throw safety would fix the problem I had, big hands, big fingers . The trigger isnt the greatest , its like a mil spec trigger feel , Mine came with diamond head sights front and rear and they are very nice . 4 pin break down , very easy to clean . When I say accurate I had 3 shots inside a half dollar circle at 60 yards with a 2 moa RDS , which I thought was damn good for that caliber at that distance , Anything else you want to know about it ?

Thank you for your input. I am unable to experience a lot of the weapons that you guys can purchase. One of the things I am not happy about. I have heard a lot about this carbine and would love to shoot one someday. Interesting design for a carbine.

A solid projectile has the ability to pass thru drywall & wound unintended targets, (read that, "loved ones") IF you miss your intended. I have seen demonstrated on cable TV shows regarding home defense, that a shotgun with high-number bird shot will do minimal damage to a house's walls, not injuring a person's family members in an adjacent room, but doing hellacious havoc on the flesh of an intruder. Outside one's dwelling may be another matter & I like the idea of a Rossi '92 in .45 Colt for that situation,.....in fact, I have one myself. It's VERY accurate & hard hitting with a 260 Speer JHP & a good dose of H4198. jd45. BTW, I own a few rifles & a few revolvers in this caliber, which is my favorite, hence my user name

Nitestalker.....does Uberti now offer an 1892 replica. Cause they didn't use to. I've got one of their 1873 Sporting Rifles in .45. It's a work of art! And I sent em a big attaboy email! jd45

jd45 I saw an 1892 Winchester .45 Colt Short rifle at the LGS last week. It was marked Cimarron . I assumed it was a Uberti? The Cimarron imports are just great quality.
Joe Biden Liberal anti-gun wack job and the Media push shotguns. The reason they are longing for a Socialist America like Europe. The "Sheep" there are only allowed shotguns. A cup wad carrying 1 1/4 Oz. of lead at 10 feet will go thru many walls.
