I have shot my share of 50 BMGs and they are good rounds for punching metal. But being an accuracy freak I prefer the 338 Lapua due to several reasons. One of which it is a very accurate round. Second you can reload it for around $2.50. The factory ammo price is close to the others at $5 - $7. Third You can load them in a standard RCBS Rock Chucker Press due to the 50 being too long case wise. And to me the recoil is slightly less. I also know the 416 performs very well according to study but I personally have never shot that caliber. Finally Ronnie Barret makes some fine weapons so you can not go wrong with any model they make. Not to mention they are good people at Barret. I live an hour and a half from the plant and their customer service is also good.
The Constitution is not an instrument for the Government to restrain the people. It is an instrument for the people to restrain the Government!
Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom."
