i had the same situation when i came to the are doing the right thing go with one for now but when you get a chance get the other . at first i was going to go with the ar becuase thats all i have shot since i begin shooting ( when i join in 2006 ) buti wanted something different try something new for a change so im getting an ak and after i get my saiga 12 im going to get a m4 and then get a benilli nova pump . so you are doing the right thing.

I would say try borrowing an AK to try, it may not be your cup of tea.

Accuracy at 500 yards is going to be difficult with either 5.56X45, or

7.62X39, as they are both 400 yard max " intermediate rounds".

An AK is not going to have the accuracy you may crave at

500 yards.

and this horse has been beaten enough.

anyone can claim whatever on the interweb there is no real way to verify much of anything. once that is made crytal as as a crystal glass all becomes one with the universe and ignoring such claims is prolly a better way to go through life than getting all bent out of shape and getting threads closed...
