How much are and where can i get mk211 raufoss rounds??

mountainman13 07-01-2012 02:11 AM

I'm no specialist in .50's and am clueless to what round you are talking about. I have only had the chance to shoot the bushmaster .50 and I know the typical price per round is in the $7 range.

Palmetto has boxes of 20 for $45.80 so you talking about $2.30 per round . Not bad but still expensive to shoot

tacticalfun 07-01-2012 02:16 AM

Buckeye has em for 2$ a round

mk211 raufoss rounds....

if you find any for sale, you better run away very fast!!!!

i'm pretty sure the raufoss rounds are a D.D. destructive device & each "legal" round will run you about 50 bucks a pop,& another 200bucks for the stamp:(

watch out for the fake painted tip rds. on gunbroker.com they are out there & you dont know who is selling them-insert BATFE

deathvalley8250cal 07-01-2012 02:52 AM

Yeah i know raufoss rounds are lime green tip nd white but sheesh thats alot

The explosive charge in the Raufoss round is too small to make the cutoff for "Destructive Device". The real thing is selling right now for North of $60 per round.

Folks- if you are posting about $2-$3 a round, that AIN'T the 50 BMG Raufoss.

Is that sort of like the explosive rounds we use in the guard?

deathvalley8250cal 07-02-2012 12:41 AM

Well if it iz green explosive tipped with white tungsten circle then yea it is the same rounds you use in the guard

tacticalfun 07-02-2012 12:53 AM

The only "explosive" rounds i use on a normal basis are mercury vacuum rounds. And i hate those damn things. Evil
