Hi-Point carbines run in the $200-$225 range and come in 9mm, .40, & .45. I don't have one but most of the on-line comments I've read regarding their reliability run more positive than with Hi-Point handguns. You can get a reliable relatively-cheap-to-shoot SKS for that price too IF YOU WANT more range and power. ('Course with these you won't have the buckshot option you have with the .410.) I'm just sayin'...
