Default 338 Lapua in a semi auto?

I heard a rumor today at a gun shop I was in that one of the major manufacturers may be developing a semi auto 338 for military use... Has anyone heard about this? I thought the 338 was only offered in a bolt action.

Angry,
Bushmaster had one on the counter at the 2010 Shot Show. It is actually made by Cobb Engineering who also is owned by the Freedom Group.
Another company that is making the Semi-Auto 338 Lapua is the Gun Room Company of Belgrade Montana. There may be more but this is all I am aware of. I do not know if Ronnie Barrett of Barrett has one on line yet since he is doing well with the 416 as well his his high quality Semi 50 BMG rifles he makes.

Yes in deed! I had the pleasure of shooting one of the bolt guns at the Sig Academy. Wow! One Bad Azzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz weapon!
Shot 90 lb. steel targets with it and it literally spun them and the stand around and knocked them over. Had to quit! It was just too much for the targets. And oh yes it was at a distance of 300 yards as I recall.
