I just recently bought an AR 10 (more than $1K) but there were several AR10 for $1K but they are going FAST if you can find anyone with any in stock DPMS has a few .308's for $800 to $1K I believe Bushmaster had a model or 2 for about that, I copied a link below for a non AR .308 and for deer hunting you can't go wrong with this one.

I had one of those a few years ago.
I could not, in good conscience, recommend it to anyone.
I had nothing but grief from it.

The link you give is just a cheap version of this Benelli. I want the Benelli in 300 Win Mag, they advertise half the felt recoil and the rifle comes in at a nice weight to pack.

PTR 91. Get the gi model got mine for 850. It's a tack driver with. Federal hmm ammo. Haven't tried hunting ammo through it.
