I am looking at getting a rifle cal. in .308, but i have no clue where to start!!! Could someone help me out or post links to some!!! I want to use it for long range shooting!!!! Thanks __________________

Long range?
How long, the .308 has limitations.
How much money do you want to spend?
Are you looking to compete with this rifle?

I don't know what action you are looking for, but if all you are concerned with is caliber, I would look at the Savage Arms rifles that are available. They are accurate, reliable, have excellent triggers and are very affordable. I have two of them and love them both. Also, they are one of the few manufacturers that makes left handed rifles at no extra cost. THat makes me happy. | |

LOL, I would prob. say about 250 to 400 yrds!!! And idk really how much I want to spend, I like to research my options and then save the money up! But I would really like to keep it under 2000$ (for everything, gun, scope, etc.) And no I am not looking to compete with this rifle. The intended use of it will be to A) own my first rifle (I have shot a lot of rifles, just not my own) B) I want to get good at shooting long range.  __________________

It all depends on your "wants" but you can do that w/ a setup costing less than $1,000 including scope. | |
