Besides Cabela's check out Dixie Gun Works website. A very nice thing about BP rifles or handguns is that you can buy them and have them delivered by UPS - no Federal paperwork required! Check your state laws though.

Dixie Gun Works muzzleloading, blackpowder and rare antique gun supplies.

I always recommend that anybody considering getting into BP for the first time should buy and read the Lyman Black Powder handbook.

BP is a hoot to shoot. Try your best to get the "real" black powder though rather than the pyrodex. Only for the old world effect of the huge cloud of smoke you'll get. I'm fortunate that a store in Macon carries the stuff.

I got the bug years ago and have 4 in my collection. No inlines cause I don't personally think they qualify as real BP guns.

If patched round ball is what you are after you cant beat a Lyman Great Plains Riffle 1/60 twist in .54 cal Mine is a tac driver.
