Default Shooting the Lee Minie Bullet

I have acquired some Lee Improved and Modern Minies to try out. I would like to hear from anyone with experience with shooting these. I am going to try BP,Pyrodex,777, and maybe even some Black Mag XP. I will be shooting a TC New Englander 50 cal. Let me hear what worked and didn't work for you.

I have used Lyman traditional and Lee Improved in my P53 Enfield with 70 grains of powder. Both shoot extremely well but I like the traditional mold better. The Lee hits like a freight train tho. The original service charge was 60 grains for the north and 65 grains for the south when they weren't using captured ammo.
