I've thought about that with the Cattleman's Carbine. I don't care what kind of revolver it is, my hand is never gonna be in front of the cylinder. Powder burns hurt enough with fingers intact. I have been lucky enough to never have a chain fire so far. Thanks.

With a carbine chainfire you also have to worry about exploded cap particles in your cheek and forehead and hope you're wearing your safety glasses.

Mythbusters did a myth about escaping gasses cutting off a thumb tonight. The escape came from between the cylinder & the barrel of revolver, wasn't BP though. It wasn't pretty.
