Dupont??

The Anarchist's Cookbook has long been known to people in the know that it contains some VERY bad suggestions, ideas, and recipes........There are much better ways and places to obtain info.......

IMO: The Anarchist's Cookbook is trash.

There is a book called Explosives Like Grand Dad Used To Make. It's a copy of a book published in about 1914. In 1970; while serving as instructors at EOD school, another NCO and myself made all the explosives in that book.

Lots of people make their own powder. If you mill the ingredients separately and mix them wet there's no danger. Plenty of places online to get ingredients.

Tell that to be BP factories back in the 1800's who blew themselves up on a not to infrequent basis. If I am not mistaken, not all of the BP-making process is done wet. Also, if you aren't very sophisticated, you will end up with what is known as "green powder", which is BP, but not a commercial grade. Suitable for pyrotechnics, but probably not guns. Commercial grade is not that easy to make from what I understand. Involves more than just "mixing" the 3 ingredients together.

No its not all done wet but the grinding is. Then you have to mix it and screen it. I belong to several bp forums where some of the members make their own and there's plenty of you tube vids on how to do it.

I'd still rather just buy it. Black Powder has it's own forum?
