Ummm to my knowledge Pietta never made a Dragoon or a Walker. Being made in 75 it's most likely an ASM(Armi san Marco)

I have those same stamps on my gun and in the same spot and it is Pietta.
I have looked at a Uberti and I did not notice a PN on it.

That is why I assumed Pietta. I apologize if it is wrong though.

The PN is an Italian black powder proof. Uberti's have them too.

Default whirley

An auction in August has an old percussion breechloader. Best description is a falling block type action, about 50-55 caliber. Overall size is about like 1873 Springfield carbine. Breach block is hinged on right. Bullet and powder are dropped in, then breechblock is swung down in place, percussion cap placed, ready to fire. Only mark is FJ. Never saw anything like this. I wonder about gas escaping back into the shooters eyes!

The Italian producers of replica arms use the same PIN stamps, and generally the same date code stamp. Some manufacturers of that time put their ID on there products and some didn't. Handle structure, barrel length, front sights, and trigger are a few tell tale signs of the manufacturer.
