Default Looking for quality 1861 Springfield.

Been looking to get a reproduction 1861 Springfield to use at my clubs black powder shoots. I would like to know who makes these guns and what is the best manufacturer as far as quality and accuracy. I know Armi Sport makes one, but I am not a big fan of Chiappa. I have heard bad things about them quality wise.

For the price of a reproduction gun you can probably find an original for a little bit more. Might not be in pristine condition but it'd still be a good gun.

Peckersoli makes one, EMF, there are a lot of them for sale on Google-fu. Midway and Cabelas sell Armisport, Dixie will have them fo sho. (Armi Sport and Pedersoli, the Pedersoli is $300 more)

There were over a million made, they go thru the gun auctions frequently,,,for the price of a repro, you could have an original.

Times are tough, ammo is expensive, there will be no warning shots.

I've got an ArmiSport P53 Enfield made about 30 years ago. It shoots minute of five gallon bucket at 300 yards.
