There is an original LeMat carbine in the Virginia Historical Society in Richmond- only one I have ever seen.

Be sure to keep your off hand behind the cylinder when shooting. Want to see range report.

+1 on what c3 said about offhand when shootin that piece. Any questions, just checkout "Hikok45" on youtube and search for "How not to shoot a revolver".

BTW, looks like a fun build!

ya im up on the not getting my fingers shot off from a chain fire ,doa! i like the hold of using my elbow as support and my ofhand back by butstock (works well) you also have to tightly wad the shot gun barrel so it wont slidse forward with recoil of nine 44 shots

I honestly have no interest in owning the carbine although I must admit it is pretty cool. I do however badly want the revolver. Unlikely that I would ever use it, but I want one anyway.
