How to smooth out a barrel?
I used scotchbrite, steel wool, sandpaper, WD40, drill, & reciprocating saw to smooth out the bore of a cannon but its still got some more work to be done. My biggest issue is the "lumps". Any recommendations?

Dude! Some of us work for a living- away from a computer!
Did not say what caliber the bore is- try a cylinder hone on a drill motor. The other stuff will polish, but will not take off the high spots.

one guy I met at a range, was 'cleaning out' an old rust bucket by shooting it!!
He had done all the scrubbing, but was still intent on getting more of the junk out. He was lubing his patches with ?topal? tooth paste.. Some kind of slightly abrasive tooth paste used for smokers to whiten their teeth.. ( what he told me it was used for  )
anyway, he figured the light abrasive.. would scrub out the bore as it shot? Never saw him again to confirm, whether or not it worked? Later on a read through all the articles about 'Fire lapping" bores.. Same basic idea, harsher compunds is all..

ooops  for some reason I was thinking smooth bore fowler, not a cannon..

It is against federal law to fire a projectile from a cannon. It will be classified as a destructive device. They do not fall under blackpowder and musket guidelines.
Keep this in mind.

I could make a list of a bunch of guns i have, or "have", or wish I had. Why would one feel compelled to provide that infornation freely? Do you feel the need to show off? Is it some immature game of oneupsmanship?
Why do you feel it necessary to list your guns?
