I like the Triple 7 for Percussion revolvers. In the ROA shooting .457 caliber 255 grs. bullets it can turn some impressive ballistics. :)

can you tell me if Triple 7 has a shelf life? My friend told me that it starts to goes bad at 3 years.

I have never had an issue with shelf life. Smokeless powder such as Triple 7 should have a life of 30 years. Many shooters do not understand the sensitive nature of Triple 7 and compression.
Triple 7 unlike BP should not be heavily compressed. The percussion caps such as the new Remington number 11 makes a big difference in ignition. The flame "Path" in any BP firearm is important. That is why we go to larger granulation as charge volume increases.:)

Pyrodex works fine for me, especially when T7 costs almost twice as much. I do likes me some Swiss tho.:D

Pyrodex is sh!t and in my area it is two to three times the cost of black powder. As far as I am concerned there is No substitute.

better judged by twelve than carried by six.

My BP friends around here only use the real "McCoy" as well. I have found it hard to find in the past, but now have connections.
