That is a thing of beauty! Is it a reproduction? I've been thinking of getting into black powder for awhile and am wondering what one of the pistols would cost? A reproduction pistol, not a collector piece.
Best bang for your buck is at Cabelas. I bought the blued, 1858 Remmy for Christmas. It's one slick shooter. Keep a watch on the auction sights. Good deals to be had there too. These Cap & ball revolvers dont require a FFL. Shipped straight to your house.
I loaded 30grain FFF Goex over a 454 round ball. Talk about some fire and smoke. Pretty good kick too. Sure makes for lots of fun.
This was a collectors piece. Never fired untill today. Navy Arms, Made in 1981 limited edition. I aint a collector, I'm a shooter.
