Thats a nice piece. Ive never been much of a revolver fan (modern style anyway). But the old Army and Navy model revolvers have always caught my eye and peaked my interest. Ive been consideringgetting one recently. They make replicas that fire modern cartridges? Or have I been misinformed?

They make conversion cylinders for em. Their pretty expensive though. There is an open top 1872 that shoots cartridges. Here is a link to a discussion on another forum.

Cool. Thanks for the info. They are a bit pricey but no worse then modern conversations. I think after some extra overtime hours, this might be something to add on my wishlist.

I know you just received the gun, but have you had a chance to light it up yet?

towboater 04-15-2012 01:52 AM

Not yet. I plan to fire it up tomorrow.
I'm gonna pm ya another link.

Nice Tow -- we see them often but that one looks especially nice for some reason I am too tired to put my finger on.
