DefaultBack in the game

With my father's declining health, I made a trip home this weekend. Mom sent me back w/ a truck load of stuff including the .45 cal Percussion pistol I built from a kit in high school and the .50 cal percussion "Hawken" (CVA) kit rifle my dad and I built over 25 years ago. I just have to find an outdoor range to play at now.

Sorry to hear about your Dad (I lost mine in 98) but new (old) toys are always cool...

Robbo: Likewise, sorry to hear about your Dad. Mine pased away in 2002.

However, I am gald to see you taking up BP (I assume again). As you cast bullets already, I assume you'll be casting your own round balls (and maybe minnies?).

I have shot very little cased ammo since taking up BP. I was out on Sunday morning shooting my LePage pistol, love the smell of burnt BP in the morning.

For some reason I got a 50 cal minie ball mould last year and have played with it. I have nearly 100 50 cal round balls already so no real need to make more when I can make minies for free.
