Default antique flintlock rifle

Hello, I have a rifle that was handed down to me by my father and was needing some information. The rifle has no markings or writing on it It has an extremely long barrel. Is it common for old flintlock rifles to have no markes or writing?

Yeah it's fairly common, however on the underside of barrel may be proof marks if it was made in a foreign country. Pics would help.
