It is pretty cool, but if complete it is trouble.

But it would cool as heck in the front yard at Chez Rock.

Is it welded shut? Missing the breech block?

Dont be surprised if you get a knock on the door for posting this and posting the fact you are going to sell it for 8k without reporting your find to the officials. As said before the smart thing would be to check with the ATF. Otherwise you could be trafficking class 3 weapons.

Of course.

But it's under the counter... you have to ask for it

Only in CA though, Jo. I'm pretty sure it is on the shelves in other states.

If I had hauled that up at the end of my fishing line........... I would have cut the line and started fishing from another spot. I'm no expert on lost and found artillery, but I bet someone will want that back. I would push, pull, or drag it down to the local PD and tell them Merry Christmas.

well, its somebody elses problem now.

we have a dont ask dont tell policy around these parts. LEOs around here would be more likely to have their picture taken with the cannon as to write up how it was found and mess with paperwork.

i dont know where the hell yall live, but from yalls advice for just about anything i post is to contact the authorities. its not always necessary around here. yeah, if you found a nice SAW machine gun or fully auto AK, then yeah, thats different. but a cannon in this condition, over 50 years old, and been missing since the 60s'/70's, under Arkansas salvage law says its mine. im sure somebody would want it back, but they cant get it back.

i understand the gun law of 34'. thats fine. this thing is in non firing condition. and outta my hands.

time for me to find a new guntalk board.

Hopefully you can find a forum that only tells you what you want to hear. Here at FTF when we are asked for our opinions we give them.
