58 Cal. Sears and Roebuck

I found a pretty nice looking BP rifle which has Sears and Roebuck stamped on it. It's in 58 Cal. and is percussion. All brass accents including patchbox. I'd like some info on it if at all possible. They've got it marked at $250. It "appears" to be an older rifle..

Thanks

It was probably made in Japan by Miroku. That's about 100 more than I would want to give for it.

If its a 58, with a brass patchbox, its probably that Zouave that they had in the early 70's. Made by Zoli I think Italian. Right in front of the nipple on the top of the barrel does it say Zouave? or Zouave A. Zoli Italy?

They go in the auctions from $100 to $400 depending on condition.

Pictures of your gun would help, otherwise its just a guess.

Well I was too late to get the 58 cal bp rifle but while I was checking around, I came upon (and purchased) this Mod. 51 Ithica 12ga magnum for $200. Just the kind of gun I like to find:) It needs and is gonna get a total restoration.. This is how it looks now and I will post the future updates in a thread in it's proper place. I put this here for now because I started this whole mess here in BP and Muskets...
