Nice Marlin 795SS pics here...but not mine, so I can only toss up the link...

P-T-Max is a well-respected member of RFC & other boards, and one heck of a Marlin Mechanic!!

Basically, you buy a nice inexpensive Marlin 795SS or an XT22SS, and slap an inexpensive Boyd's Stock on it!!

WOW. Never been into Marlin, but those 2 guns are nice! The 2nd ones with the Bull barrels, exactly which model are they? And I'll have to take a closer look at Boyd's too. Very nice stocks. I like the CZ 455 varmint that comes with the blue one similar to the stock shown in the 1st photo.

I know the Marlin 60 has the option of a wood stock and SS barrel

I have a stainless Marlin Model 60 with their "stock" wood stock.

I did some research and the stocks look to be made of Beech wood.

I topped mine with a Nikon 3-9X40 Prostaff. It'll put 'em in the 10 ring at 50 yards all day.
