Default Winchester Model 77 .22 LR Magazine YIKES!

I picked up an Winchester 77 with a scope at an espate sale over the weekend but it was missing the magazine. I checked Fleabay and $88. These things must be more rare than hens teeth.

I purchased a Model 77 from a hardware store in Grass Valley Ca. When I was 14. I paid for it each week with an after school job and when the "lay away" was complete they gave me two boxes of LR to shoot for free, no Dad, no Mom, just a kid wanting a new Winchester in a sleepy gold mining town....I think I paid about forty bucks for it and never had a second magazine. That rifle shot thousands of rounds, bought by turning in pop bottles, without a complaint. Aah! Memories

Simple days are gone forever. Mine was a model 49 Ithaca from a gas station. $18. Ammo was plentiful at $4.00 a brick. I still have some.
