DefaultWinchester 310

Anyone know anything about this .22. One was for sale at the gunclub yesterday for $100. Looked like it was almost new and resembles a small Model 70. Good buy or not???
Thanks,
OtH

Only thing I know is that it is a single shot version of the 320.

Price sounds bout right. If you get a chance to get a picture of it post it would you.

From what I found with a quick google search they are good shooting smooth bolt action 22 rifles.

If I were you and had the extra c-note I would grab it quick.

I had done a search through MSN and had gotten nothing. I did the Google seach and read what was said. I went and bought the gun. I'm going to try to contact Kimber and verify if what was said is right. Even if it isn't, it's still a nice little rifle.
Thanks,
OtH

If it looks good & works well, it's a $250 rifle

Winchester Model 310 Bolt-action Single Shot, made from 1972-75.
It'll shoot short/long/& long rifle.
22-inch barrel, weighs 5.63#, Monte Carlo-type stock w/ checkered pistol grips & forearms, & sling swivels.

Nice piece to stick in a glass case. GREAT for training kids with. Single shot design does make it perfect for teaching them the value of making Each Shot Count.

Remember that there are two different Kimbers.

There is Kimber of Oregon and Kimber of America. Kimber of Oregon is closed up been that way for a long time. Kimber of America operates out of Yonkers NY I believe.

I called the current Kimber number and was given the name of a gunsmith to talk too. He could not say that the 310 was made by the person that originally started Kimber. He could say that the bolt assembly closely resembled the one that was used in the Kimber Mod. 82.

This is a great little rifle. I had one when they first came out and could drive nails with it. Subsequently had it stolen but found one this week on Gunsbroker.com ($170). Here's a photo that I "photomerged" from their website.
