Winchester 1890 with a non octogonal barrel
I was convinced that I had a winchester 1890 but I was looking on the web and it says if it does not have an octogonal barrel it is not a winchester 1890.

If it isn't than what is it.

You may have a 1906, or an 1890 that has had the barrel replaced with one from a 1906.

Have you compared yours to the 1906?

Ok I got it out and here are some images.
Please mind the quality, my camera blows.

And I just noticed it says "MOD 1906" on the side  so it isn't a 1890 :(

Dont be sad about your model 1906 they are ecentially the same as the model 1890, it was shorter and lighter for small statured shooters aka kids. The guns are identical except the barrel and chambering. Most were chambered in short, long, and long rifle, where the 1890 was regulated to only one chambering.
