I only purchased a box of Winchester 45 Auto 50 rounds for $29. I wanted the Winchester; but, have to pay tax man!

I was at Cabelas yesterday and they had CCI 50 round boxes (and a lot of them!) for 2.99 each. I didn't pick any up since I was there to pick up a different order. I think the limit was 2 though.

The .22 LR seems to run in streaks. I check a couple different places regularly (stores and online) and have bought around 4,000 rounds in the last couple weeks, all at about $25 per 500. I will not buy over priced ammo. Right now Cabelas has CCI "Choot em" .22 LR 300 packs for $25. I'll pass on that.....

Now I'm just waiting for some decent weather up here in Minnesota to get out to the range. I take the kids with me and they will burn a box or 2 of the 500 round packages in an afternoon.

Idk that $25 is "over priced(and the CCI's in that Branded Pack are 375, not 300),..but I guess if you got it before and it was Under$20 then you might think $25 would be expensive. I don't buy "Outrageously Overpriced," Like $75-$100 for 500 rounds,..but $25 for 375 CCI's Is not horrible,...Can't find that Here In Az,..But there is a gun show today here, so after we teach our Photo Class,..maybe will see some..

22 wmr ammo is feast or famine. I got 1,000 rounds of remington JSP from bass pro for $300. The best price I have seen was $14 at buds for hornady 30 gr hyper velocity ammo. My gun shoots the hyper velocity ammo about like buckshot. Most 22 wmr rifles are rifled to shoot 40 gr ammo at 1,900 fps. 30 gr bullets get blown off target by a cow farting in the next county.

Correction: the CCI "Choot em" (CCI Swamp People .22 Ammo) are 300 rounds as noted.
.22 LR 36 Grain HP 300
