I was at my range club meeting last night & one of the other members brought in two bricks of .22lr ammo.
I figured what the heck if he wants $25 or $30 for them I could pick up one brick.
So I ask him how much he wanted for them as I was reaching for my money, he told me $200 per brick!
It turns out they were long range .22lr bench rest ammo..........there is no way I would pay that much for .22lr ammo.
He said; He was just trying to help out the other bench rest shooters in the club that couldn't find ammo. I told him, yea help them out of their money! HaHaHa!

Cabelas has 2100 rounds of Federal Champion in stock for $92.99 which comes out to $0.044 a round. Comes with a metal ammo can. Thats about all they have for cheap bulk 22lr. Been watching websites for the past week and this is the first time I seen bulk in stock. I did order a case of Federal 325 rds from them a few days ago for $14.99 because they were in stock at the time I ordered my 9mm.

its not the shooter who finds some and buys ALL of it...its, ummm...obama....yeah, that's the ticket.....

again, who goes to the store and thinks "hmmm. good price on toilet paper, i think i will buy ALL OF IT!" sadly, this is the way too many gun owners think.

i just don't have the money to buy this way.

and the ONLY place i have found 22 in the last 2 weeks is a local grocery store. luckily, i think i am the only one who knows they sell ammo.

Just bought 2100 rounds of Federal Champion from Cabelas for $92 online. Check them out, I think they still have some.

I'm with you, I usually just get what I'm going to need maybe some for later. Although I'm also the ***hole running 5 counties looking for ammo,,,,,,,,,,

well, at this point....anyone who wants to go to the range to shoot a bit must go on a scavenger hunt to find anything to shoot.

sheer selfishness & paranoia by a minority of gun owners imo. some guy has to buy 10,000 rounds of 22 to hoard in a closet.....so now i can't find 300 to take to the range? plain frustrating!

Right, I'm going to the DOLLAR STORE and buy a couple cases of incadesent light bulbs before they are gone. Hate those curly bulbs the GOV. wants us to buy from CHINA...read this week that the 75 watt bulbs are on the no-no list this year..By the way CCI (brick) .22LR are still just $25.00. Did buy some CCI .22 standard velocity shells for $ 2.50 per box... Like those SV's for my older Auto pistols...

I just ordered some from Ammo-to-Go.com. They have the Winchester M-22 in-stock! They do warn of 22-24 days order processing time though - not sure what that's about.

was at Wal-Mart yestyerday in Ashland, Ky. they were out of any .22 ammo other than a couple boxes of shorts., Still plenty here in my home town. I'll have to buy a brick of CCI'c this week.
