Good to hear, when they get over 25 lbs (Raccoons) they can get aggressive and are absolutely fearless.

I'm with ya and am willing to concede that I may just be lucky but I've had to shoot several - all we're head shots and all went down w 1 round to the head. After the last one, I've had no problems w wildlife except except for being overrun w deer. (which is beyond the 22 shorts capabilities but at least we'd be back on thread to the 22 mag.)

I've known 2 people who have taken Deer w 22 mag but Both are excellent shooters who know when to pick or pass on a shot.

Iv killed em two different times w a 22 mag. It had been snowing hard for awhile the first time and we had no meat in the house. The second time i hit one w my truck breakin its front shoulders so i had to put her down.

I tried to find the BC for the 22 or 22 mag to see if that might explain why it is so effective on small game. ( Keith was a fan of sectional density - off thread)

22 mag works so well bc the extra powder and the bullets are so well made/dense
