I really like them
A friend of mine has a Nylon 66, hella accurate.

I just got a Marlin 60W, a sheer joy to shoot...

Default Favorite .22 Rifle

Actually, I have two favorites: The Remington Model 24 - a more robust version of the Browning Semi-auto; and the Remington 33P - a single-shot, because it model I used when I first started shooting, and every shot had to count.

All of my .22's are so much fun to shoot, it is difficult to really pick a favorite. My 10/22 stainless is so good to hunt squrrels in the winter, the Marlin 39 is just so very accurate, the Ruger MKII stainless with a bull barrel is just loads of fun,,, another recent entry, a Beretta Neo with a 6" barrel is fast becoming a favorite. To me it is ugly as Hell but it shoots with the Ruger all day, only the test of time will determine it's durability and long term accuracy. The Plinkerton single action is a hoot to play John Wayne with and is surprisingly accurate. My NAA mini in .22 magnum is awfully comforting to carry when out fishing and hiking and doubles as a carry piece in hot weather, not the best carry option, but not a bad one either in my opinion. I have no particular favorite,, they are all too much fun and I don't get that guilty feeling for burning up a few hundred rounds as I sometimes do shooting the heavy stuff,, that can be expensive even with reloading.

Good shooting,
Jeff

Wow picking just one would be very, very tough. There are so many with so many different characteristics. Just picking between a super accurate bolt action or a fast shooting semi-auto would be tough. I love so many rimfires I'd never be able to pick just one. And there's the question of whether it's the rifles I own or the ones I want to own. Is it the ones that got away when I was so close to buying or is it one I was handed down from my dad who got it from a beloved neighbor who bought everyone a present when one of us had a birthday and piled up Christmas presents for us kids 3 feet deep and 8 feet across. How could I pass up saying that rifle that came from him was my favorite especially since it's still one of my most accurate rifles? But then I think about the new models I have that will actually accept scopes (unlike the Stevens that came down to me from that neighbor) and which will shoot groups under .1" at 50 yards including 4 out of 5 in a group that measured .01". Then there's my wonderful new CZ that has such a great trigger and shoots really, really well and is so beautiful.

Or could it be my old Marlin 60 that has been my go to .22 for two decades and has 150,000 rounds through it? Or maybe my new 60SS that is both beautiful and accurate? Or maybe my 795 which I probably shoot more than anything because it's so darn much fun. It's light as a feather and very accurate which is a good combination for a guy with neck and back injuries.

Or could it be the 40X that just barely got away from me. A guy I met on the net offered it to me with an unfired Shillen barrel, a Timney trigger, a BR stock and all put together by the best of the best for a whopping $1000 (about a third of what it should cost) but I had just spent all my money on Christmas including buying a S&W 629 from my brother. When I got the cash together a month later it was gone. They say the one that got away is usually the best one. So I'll have to go with that 40X. Am I sure I made the right choice? Oh heck no! Not even close.

Marlin model 60b. Old as dirt, no serial number(not required on .22's back in then), and still extremely accurate

Default Best .22s

I have never had a single problem with my Remington 597. I got it as my 10th birthday gift and have fired thousands of rounds through it. As for pistols, the ruger mark three will feed anything and I mean ANYTHING.
