Default Marlin 80 DL and Browning Buckmark

My favorite .22 is my trusty Marlin 80 DL. It happens to be my first .22 which my father purchased for me in 1961 when I was 13. It came with a target "peep" sight which I upgraded to a Lyman peep site. It eats all sizes and brands of .22 ammo. I just took it out to the range this year after about 30 years of non-use. After resighting due to a gusting 20 mph crosswind, I was hitting a golf ball at 100 yards.

I just purchased my first .22 pistol, a Browning Buckmark Standard (slab-sided barrel). It has the best trigger pull of all of my .22s. With the Ultimate Cliploader, I can easily go though 100 rounds in well under 5 minutes. It is a ton of fun to shot, but every time I go to the range, I'm going though about 550 rounds. Even though the ammo is relatively inexpensive, this is getting costly. But, it is so much fun!

Default Favorite .22

Browning auto loader, takedown, will fit into a backpack disassembled , lots of fun ,mines a later model, Japanese made, with a 2-7x tasco. Compact, light, just about perfect .22 rifle. for a more compact candidate also have my dads Colt Woodsman, older model3 1/2" bbl

Seems a lot of people like the 39A. Well I do too. Here is my 1967 vintage Marlin 39A Golden Mountie.

I recently purchased a S&W MP 15-22. Very easy to sight in and priced right. No recoil and very accurate. A sweet little rifle and cheep to shoot compared to my 5.56 and 3006. It is a snap to clean and breaks down just like my AR. I love it. I think I am addicted to guns.

I have rem.. model 241 speedmaster manufactured in 1936. Of all my rifles that is the one I would pick to just go out and spend the day shooting, never jams, accurate. Now that is my kind of lazy afternoon.

Couldn't agree more. I have a 1937 Remington 341 Sportmaster that is superbly accurate and a real pleasure to shoot.
