I just got a ruger 10/22 and I'm planning on getting the archangle kit for it and a scope. What scope would you guys recommend? I want at least a 10x and would like to stay as cheap as possible

get a vortex crossfire 4-12x44. I run these on all my rimfire rifles, along with their higher end optics on the larger calibers. They are clear, turrets run perfectly, hold zero, and are reasonably priced. You can't beat their VIP warranty either

I love the Nikon 3-9x40 BDC 150 Prostaff rimfire it's about 92% light transmision

+1 for the Vortex! I have the same one! If you're looking to keep costs down for a 10/22, might wanna check with Midway USA. They have a Simmon's Whitetail Classic 6.25-20x50 Scope, with AO (Adjustable Objective...), for $109 with the Truplex Reticle, and $124 with the BDC Reticle.

Some folks scoff at Simmon's Scopes, but I've got 2, and they're great, IMHO, for a Rimfire Rifle. Here's a pic of one of mine, on my S&W M&P 15-22:



FYI, you'll need some High Rings or a Riser, to get that 50mm Objective off of the Barrel!

I have Nitrex, Vortex, Nikon, Millet, and Simmon's Scopes, and my Simmon's work just fine for a .22 Platform. FYI, my wife has been shooting her Marlin 795 for the last three years, with a Simmon's 3-9x40 Scope. It's never lost Zero, and hits that big Red Spot on the paper, every time we go to the Range.

If you are just plinking, the $30.00 Bushnell, a fixed four power, from Walmart is actually a decent little scope. I have one on two different .22s. I am quite happy with them, the squirrels are not.

Yeah I seen those. I'm basically jus looking to push it to its limits an take some long shots with it. And do a little squirrel hunting with it. Thinking about trying my luck with some coyotes
