Any markings on the barrel?

MY guess: Winchester model 1900.

Should say Winchester on the barrel, and if it is a 1900 it was/is
chambered for 22 long. Not long rifle.

"Boys rifle", made 1899-1902.

My guess too maybe a 1904...

There were a whole ton of generic .22 single shot rifles made. We picked up on for my nephew's first shooter. It cost about $75 and was pretty old, but was just fine for him learning to shoot.
