Weaver See thru rings
Anyone have experience with the weaver see thru rings? I am going to scope my 10-22 but like still having the option of iron sights. Is it worth or just a gimmick?

I like em quite a bit but i have only 1 22 irons on it and its a marlin 39A

They place the scope too high for a solid cheek weld.

I use them on both of my 10/22's and have had them on there for years. I like them and don't have any problem getting a consistent cheekweld. They really do allow you to use your irons nicely. Many people don't like them and that's fine, but for me they work really good.

they are excelltnt for deer hunting if u want versatility. like going from the woods(iron sights) to open prairie land(scope) but i my self do not personnaly like them. i usually take two guns in the truck and go back to the truck if i want to beat brush.

No issues for me...even on this stock which practically has no place to put yer cheek :D http://cdn.firearmstalk.com/images/3...c0073-1841.jpg I've been known to wrap this thing with Paracord...just for a little extra padding... but it definitely needs something extra... |
They work great and don't worry about them being too high and messing up your checkweld. It's a .22, it's not like you're going to be taking 1000yard shots. Of course I like high scopes, come to think about it almost all of my scopes are really high. :)

Been using them on a .22WMR for years. Would not change a thing.
