Default Walther G-22

I handled one of these yesterday. Felt pretty nice. Two mags held in the butt stock (one spare). Plenty of mounting rails. Pretty cool rear sight config.

Anyone have one of these? Are they any good? Any aftermarket accs yet?

Update.

I decided to take the plunge inspite of mixed reviews. I "needed" to replace a 10-22 that was recently stolen (I will likely get another 10-22 also inthe near future).

The G-22 was just too appealing. No one I know has ever even seen one so being the first to own one is a plus to me. I MUST be the out in front in the arms race.

I hope to get some range time this weekend to zero the red dot and give her a whirl.

I am a bit surprised there are not more aftermarket accessories available. Fake cans and 13 round mag followers are about it. Vertical forward grips for AR's work. Light attachements for picatinney rails are available. Any sighting system that is rail mounted will work. Factory lasers (ugh!), but little in the way of dedicated G-22 accessories like extended mags or flash hiders. If anyone knows of a source of such add ons, PLEASE let me know.

I don't own one but my brother does. I love it, it's extremely accurate. I'm sure you'll love it

I almost bought one recently but after checking out 2 gun shows and the internet I couldn't find any extended clips so I chose the 10/22 because of the available accessories.

Good luck with finding the bigger mags and if you do, please let us know.

There are replacement followers for the factory mags that increase the capacity to 13 but you lose the bolt hold open feature. No flash hiders, not that a 20" bbl needs one but it would dress up the muzzle quite nicely.
