why not take a ruger 10/22 and build one that looks like it? with all the aftermarket parts for the 10/22 you surely could find enough parts to modify and make your own clone rifle.

Id love to, I just don't know if I'm the guy for that kind of overhaul. I really like the 1022s. They're great guns. Its probably what I'll end up with.

just get a 10/22 and some catalogs of parts and accessories for the 10/22 and look at pictures of the vintorez and get the ones that will make it look like it.
